Virtual Storytelling & Simulations

Dreamscape Global specializes in designing virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for the enterprise, including architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), smart sustainable cities, cultural district revitalization, shopping, local climate projects, and healthy cities, based on our VR projects since 2016.

We design real-world enterprise use cases and business models, which our partners build. To challenge people’s imagination and creativity, we publish sci-fi novels exploring potential applications using VR gaming engines since they enable you to simulate anything you can imagine. The coming Metaverse requires imagination, design simulations and storytelling to show people how it can be used for practical, everyday activities.

Our Enterprise Projects

Aimedis.io, a Dutch company launched by European doctors where I’m CSO, has provided an AI avatar for personalized consultations with real doctors since 2017. We just launched the world’s first medical data NFT marketplace and our virtual Healthy Cities white label platform using the Unreal 5.0 Engine, which is being adopted by hospitals in Lausanne, Tokyo and a dozen other cities in 2022. Our clients are hospitals, healthcare insurers, medical equipment suppliers, clinics, and communities. We are developing practical VR use cases for medical education and training, virtual surgery, and preventive healthcare via mental health, sports, music, nutrition and the arts.

Regenerate.is (Boston) will launch its climate project fundraising platform where artists can host fundraising events for local climate projects. Our partner, Geoversity.org, is working with indigenous tribes in Costa Rica to raise funding for its watershed, forest preservation, and ecovillage training for outsiders who want to learn about indigenous best practices. We have other climate projects in our launch later this year.

We are advising teams in Greece and Africa that are launching ecovillages.

Our Publications

We publish business books and sci-fi novels. Our new book “The Gaiapolis Strategy”, provides an 8-year roadmap for urban decarbonization so cities, towns and bioregions can achieve their UN Special Development Goals (SDG) by 2030. See: shorturl.at/MWY35

Science fiction is the key to the future! My ten novels in the “Virtually San Francisco” series explore how VC can be used for homeless shelter design, shopping malls, historic district preservation, Covid-19 research, STEAM education, space cities, and space/time travel into the past and future. The ideas are based on our VR use cases for Nordic sustainable cities (Copenhagen, Malmo, Lund 2070 and Stockholm) since 2016. (see our blog for summaries).

Dreamscape Global focuses on imagining and designing the future by combining VR storytelling, urban and environmental planning, and VR visualization and digital twins.

Let’s invent a better world together!

Cities as Climate Leaders

Dreamscape Global is now promoting the development of “Healthy Cities for Healthy People” due to our global need for solutions to pandemics, high energy and food prices, climate disasters, recession, and the search for new green jobs for the billions of young people coming into the workforce. Not easy tasks at all.

To assist in our global transition to a fairer, greener economy, I just published “The Gaiapolis Strategy: Designing Bionic Cities for Pandemic, Energy and Climate Resilience in the Coming Bio Renaissance”, which provides an 8-year roadmap for urban decarbonization so we can reach our 2030 climate goals. See: shorturl.at/MWY35

What are bionic cities? They combine biomedicine, green cities, smart cities, and exponential technologies (VR/AR, AI, IoT, blockchain, NFTs, etc.), where the new green jobs are already emerging. We need holistic solutions that address our health and the planet so bionic cities will integrate the environment (macrobiology) with our bodies (microbiology) since both affect each other, as pandemics and climate changes have shown. Essentially, we need to design greener, healthier cities capable of thriving despite climate disasters.

Why now? Due to the failure of nations to address climate change, I believe citizens and local governments — cities, towns and bioregions — should take charge and become our climate leaders. It’s already happening. Here’s a list of cities:

To help citizens and cities jumpstart and finance their climate projects, I wrote this article:

Decarbonization: How Cities Can Become Our Climate Leaders

My book is the launch of many climate actions that I’ll be promoting and supporting over the coming years. By the way, my book has a chapter about how VR/AR, AI, blockchain and other exponential technologies can accelerate local climate action.

Let me know what you think and feel free to share this article!

Mayor Tiffany Wong-Gonzalez, a Mission High grad, hardcore gamer, former Navy pilot, and #Stanford computer science grad, wins the election by courting the Chinese community and small businesses who are counting on her for survival. She launches a virtual reality (#VR) hackathon to save Chinatown, but her political rival, Bill Ting, unleashes a massive corporate-financed Virtual #China. The rivalry heats up, involving U.S. and China cyber attacks. Can Mayor Tiffany save Chinatown with the help of her #gamer buddies? Dreamscape Global is proud to announce “Beatfully San Francisco,” the 7th novel in our “Virtually San Francisco” series exploring VR for a variety of real-world use cases.

“Beatfully San Francisco” is a modern retelling of Dante’s “Paradiso” as a climate musical and Puccini’s “La Boheme” in SF’s North Beach during Covid-19 lockdown.

All of the novels are available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Books-Sheridan-Tatsuno/s?rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_27%3ASheridan+Tatsuno&fbclid=IwAR2ko0CuWaDjS8LF3QY5PLdOItvXXMXWX3dslIZpCsQAEW-rW9o0E4hrGU8

Five of the “Virtually San Francisco” novels

#1. Virtually San Francisco: San Francisco challenges virtual reality (VR) developers to reinvent the City. In his comedic fantasy novel, you’ll meet an international cast of creatives — a Swedish dog therapy shaman, a Japanese solar goddess, an Iranian earthquake creator, an Ohlone urban planner, a NASA satellite mapper, and others — who meet their challenge: designing a homeless shelter to please the mayor who has surprises in her back pocket. Join the ride into the virtual future!

#2. Uniquely San Francisco: In this comedy sequel, VR creators are tasked to build a virtual mall to generate revenues to finance the gold-plated homeless shelter they built in the last hackathon. All is going well, but their mall is attacked by cyber-hackers and the fun begins, with surprises at every move and countermove.

#3. Soulfully San Francisco: The mayor challenges VR developers to create Virtual Fillmore in order to memorialize the “Harlem of the West” during its postwar jazz glory years and help the City’s struggling retailers. In this sci-fi comedy, they create a call-and-response musical that attracts a billion viewers, leading to a feeding frenzy among investors seeking the next tech unicorn. But first, the developers must fight off cyber-hackers…

#4. Divinely San Francisco: In this modern retelling of Dante’s Divine Comedy, San Francisco scrambles to help rebuild East Bay communities destroyed by wildfires, which leave half a million climate refugees homeless in the streets of San Francisco. The City’s heroes deploy tent towns, cruise liners and virtual reality (VR) to organize the recovery before rainstorms hit.

#5. Virally San Francisco: The mayor challenges VR developers to create powerful graphics and experiences to save struggling retailers, artists, nonprofits and schools shut due to the City’s Covid-19 lockdown. To her surprise, they rally and create a Virtual San Francisco shopping mall featuring Chinatown history, 1940s Fillmore jazz, 1950s Beat poetry readings, 1960s Summer of Love music concerts and even virus research — until hackers threaten to shut it down. But the mayor, a former Navy pilot and computer whiz, mobilizes her allies to defeat them in an exciting cops-and-robbers face-off.

#6. Zenfully San Francisco: San Francisco’s Japantown struggles to survive during Covid-19 lockdown. Facing evictions and bankruptcies, a task force asks a VR master to save local merchants, artists and nonprofits by creating a Virtual Japantown mall and entertainment complex. To their surprise, he and a Japanese solar sculptor create a stunning Obon dance festival that attracts millions of online customers in an unforgettable tale of redemption, survival and love.

#7. Beatfully San Francisco: In a modern retelling of “La Boheme”, an ailing social marketer organizes a climate musical based on Dante’s “Paradiso” to employ her evicted artist friends but must lead them to paradise in a Virtual Paradiso after Covid-19 shuts down all public places. It is her love song and farewell to San Francisco.
